The Salla Platform team welcomes you, and we inform you that, in our eagerness to protect users, the Salla Platform seeks to maintain the privatized information of merchants, practitioners, and consumers in accordance with the privacy policy and confidentiality of information mechanism applicable on the Salla Platform. Accordingly, Salla Platform notes that this document informs you of the privacy policy and confidentiality of information in force on the Salla Platform. Salla Platform has created this policy, "Privacy Policy and Confidentiality of Information" to clarify and define the confidentiality and privacy mechanism in force on the Salla Platform, so please review it, as by using the Salla Platform, all your information is subject to this policy.

Definitions: 

1. (Salla Platform) This phrase refers to the platform owned by Salla Application for Information Technology Company, and this definition includes all forms of the Salla Platform on the Internet, whether it is an application or a website, and this phrase includes the "Mahally Platform" affiliated with the Salla Platform, in all its forms on the Internet, whether it is an application or a website.

2. (Merchant) This phrase refers to every merchant who registers on the Salla Platform to establish their online store, whether a natural or legal person. This definition includes all aspects of the store as long as they conduct their trade through the Salla Platform, and this includes the store's website or application.

3. (Practitioner) This phrase refers to every practitioner of e-commerce who registers on the Salla Platform to establish their online store. This definition includes all aspects of the store as long as they practice their trade through the Salla Platform, and this includes the store's website or application.

4. (Online Store) This phrase refers to the store used by the merchant or practitioner on the Salla electronic platform, and this includes the online store's website or application.

5. (Consumer) This phrase refers to every consumer who purchases a product or service from the online stores registered on the Salla Platform.

6. (User) This term is used to refer to anyone who uses the Salla Platform, whether they are a merchant, a practitioner, or a consumer.

Information that Salla Platform obtains and retains in its electronic systems:

1. The consumer's personal information: such as name, email, National ID number, or Residency (Iqama) number.

2. The merchant's or practitioner's personal information: such as name, email, National ID number or Residency (Iqama) number, and the address of the place of residence.

3. Information about the store and its legal entity: such as the commercial registration number and a copy of the commercial registration, or the freelance document number and a copy of the document, and the bank account certificate "IBAN".

4. Login information for the online store: such as username, password, email, and the password recovery question and its answer.

5. Salla Platform uses cookies to improve the user experience and provide personalized services.

6. In the event that the user does not provide the information requested from them, Salla Platform may attempt to obtain it through other sources.

Information on revenues, goods, or services of stores:

1. Salla Platform is constantly aware of the stores' revenues, because the store uses the payment gateways provided by the Salla Platform.

2. Salla Platform is aware of the type of goods or services displayed in the store.

3. Salla Platform is aware of the stores' performance in case there is a need to direct support or advice and guidance to the stores to help them and improve their performance.

Information of store consumers or merchants' clients:

As Salla Platform seeks to improve the experience of stores and enhance the quality of their business, it constantly reviews the number of store consumers and their purchasing transactions.

Sharing of Information:

1. Naturally, Salla Platform seeks to retain this information in a way that preserves the user's privacy, and Salla Platform only retains this information with the aim of improving the quality of the platform and the quality of the stores' work, and to facilitate and ease services.

2. As a general rule, all of this information is only viewed by some of those in charge of the Salla Platform, after obtaining authorization to view it from the management of the Salla Platform – usually, the authorization is specific, restricted, and subject to legal and administrative control by Salla Platform.

3. Since Salla Platform seeks to maintain a safe environment for practicing e-commerce, therefore – in the event that Salla Platform notices any unlawful or illegal activity carried out by the user – Salla Platform, in implementation of the articles, clauses, and terms of the Agreement of Use and the Privacy Policy and Confidentiality of Information, may share any of this information with the competent authorities to take the necessary action regarding the violating user, in compliance by Salla Platform with the regulations and provisions in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including, but not limited to, the E-Commerce System, the Personal Data Protection Law, and the Anti-Information Crime Law.

4. A merchant or practitioner who initiates the registration of their store with Salla Platform through success partners thereby grants the success partner through whom they registered the right to view all the store's information.

5. Salla Platform notes that unlawful practices by any of the users will result in their data being shared with official authorities or some private entities such as: banks.

6. The user understands and agrees that Salla Platform may use the information they provided to send marketing messages. 

What is the extent of security for the confidentiality of user information:

Salla Platform seeks to maintain the confidentiality of platform user information, but given the inability to guarantee this 100% in (the internet space), the Salla Platform team notes the following:

1. Salla Platform seeks to maintain all the information of users and that no one views it in violation of the policy in force on Salla Platform.

2. Salla Platform works to protect user information under high-quality electronic and technical protection systems that are updated continuously and periodically.

3. However, since the Internet cannot be 100% guaranteed due to potential hacking or viruses that may affect electronic protection systems and firewalls in place on the Salla Platform, Salla Platform advises users to maintain their information in complete confidentiality, and not to disclose any information that the user deems very important to them, out of Salla Platform's eagerness to protect, guide, and instruct users.

4. Salla Platform seeks to protect the personal data of its users in accordance with the highest standards. In the event of any security breach that leads to unauthorized access or manipulation of personal data, the Platform is committed to informing the competent authorities immediately, as well as notifying affected users with details of the breach, and the Platform will take all necessary measures to address the breach.

Strategic and Logistics Services (Third-Party Services):

The user expressly and in advance acknowledges and agrees that in some cases, the "Salla" platform may need to share some relevant information with third parties of strategic or logistical service providers, including – but not limited to – shipping companies, payment solution providers, or technical service providers, with the aim of enabling them to perform tasks or provide services associated with the store or related transactions.
This information is shared only to the extent necessary and to achieve the legitimate purpose associated with the service, in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Platform is committed to ensuring that the relevant service providers comply with maintaining the confidentiality of the information and not using it except for the specified purpose.

Integration with Google Services (Google Shopping API):

Within the framework of Salla Platform's keenness to provide integrated services to merchants, practitioners, and consumers, the feature of integration with Google services has been activated, specifically with Google Merchant Center platform, with the aim of facilitating product synchronization and managing store data in a secure and organized manner.
1. Granting Permission and Access to Data
When the merchant grants explicit permission through Google's approved authentication mechanism, Salla Platform accesses specific data from the merchant's Google account, including but not limited to:

• Product and inventory data registered in Google Shopping (such as product IDs, prices, descriptions, quantities).

• Relevant Google Merchant Center account settings.

2. Purpose of Data Processing
This data is used only for the purpose of enabling technical integration between the merchant's store on Salla Platform and their Google Shopping account, including:

• Creating, updating, or synchronizing product listings.

• Managing communication and authentication between the two systems.

•  This is done to ensure the catalog data matches between the two platforms and to improve the performance of the online store.

3. Data Protection and Regulatory Compliance
Salla Platform emphasizes the following:

• Google user data is used only for the specific purposes mentioned above, and in a way that achieves the merchant's legitimate interest in improving their online store experience.

• Salla Platform does not sell, rent, or transfer this data to any third party for marketing, commercial, or advertising purposes outside the scope of the provided service.

• The data is retained for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of its collection, in accordance with the general privacy policy in force on Salla Platform, or it is deleted upon user request, integration cancellation, or application removal.

• Salla Platform complies with all provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its executive regulations, including the implementation of necessary security, confidentiality, and privacy standards to protect data when integrating with any external services.

User Rights Regarding Personal Data:

Salla Platform is keen to protect the privacy of its users and provide clear mechanisms for exercising their rights related to personal data, including the exercise of the following rights:

1. Right to Access: The user has the right to view their personal data stored by Salla Platform.

2. Right to Obtain a Copy: The user can obtain a copy of their personal data collected and processed by Salla Platform.

3. Right to Correct: The user has the right to modify or update their personal data to ensure its accuracy and completeness.

4. Right to Destruction: The user has the right to request the deletion or destruction of their personal data if there is no longer a need to process it.

5. Right to Withdraw Consent: The user has the right to withdraw their consent to process their personal data at any time.

Rules and provisions for using the Salla Platform:

All obligations of Salla Platform, all obligations of users, and all rights contained in the relationship between the user and Salla Platform, are (found in the User Agreement), and we point out that all transactions that take place between the merchant and the consumer have nothing to do with the entity of Salla Platform, and Salla Platform is not responsible for them, as this transaction is an independent contractual relationship subject to the agreement concluded between the merchant and the consumer.
